1. Who is the controller?
Love Invoicing Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16938438), is the data controller for personal data we collect about you as a Love Invoicing user.
For business data you upload about your own customers, you are the controller and Love Invoicing is your processor under a Data Processing Agreement that forms part of our Terms.
2. Lawful bases we rely on
- Contract — providing the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement.
- Legal obligation — accounting, tax, and statutory record-keeping.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing emails.
3. Your rights as a data subject
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data (the “right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
4. How to exercise your rights
Email support@loveinvoicing.app with your request. We respond within 30 days. We may verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
Most rights can also be exercised in-app:
- Export invoices and customer data as CSV from Settings.
- Edit profile, business, and tax details directly.
- Request full account deletion from Settings → Account.
5. International transfers
Where your data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on:
- UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTA)
- EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
- Adequacy decisions where they apply
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g., HMRC tax records).
7. Data Protection Officer
We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, but privacy enquiries are handled by our security and compliance lead at support@loveinvoicing.app.
8. Supervisory authorities
If you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with GDPR, you can complain to:
- UK — Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ico.org.uk
- EU — your local Data Protection Authority. List at edpb.europa.eu
9. Data Processing Agreement
Business customers requiring a signed DPA can request one from support@loveinvoicing.app. We provide our standard DPA at no charge.
